Wright and Father Pfleger, (a black man who has served 2 tours in the service) and a white man, (who is at the top of the entitlement food chain).Both agree on the views that most of white America’s treatment of African- Americans in the US has been weighed and measured and left wanting. The fact that Obama had to separate himself from his church home because of some Americans feelings concerning his church leader flies in the face of the premise behind freedom of religion. The opinions (no matter how true),of (2) religious leaders should not weigh as heavily as they do on the outcome of the election. At this point I hope Obama wins not only because he is the most progressive candidate in his views on the direction of this country( which morally and educationally is going to hell, but that’s another subject) but because he is capable of representing the interest of ALL of the U.S. with a grace,dignity and diplomacy that is needed and has not been seen in these many years.
